“The note taker provides note taking services for Deaf and hearing clients in the community or educational settings. These settings could include workplaces, classrooms, excursions, conferences, counseling sessions, meetings and appointments of all kinds. The note taker provides a high level of accuracy, legibility and ethics through the duration of the appointment. In addition, Note takers are required to display professional levels of attire, manners and conduct at all times."
Notetakers are critical in appointments when Deaf people are expected to have notes taken. Of course, while a Deaf client is watching an interpreter signing to them, it is impossible to take adequate notes simultaneously.
