The Maquarie Dollar is a financial incentive scheme that subsidises interpreters who are graduates or current students of the Post Graduate Diploma (Auslan) at Macquarie University.

It works by increasing the hourly rate of each eligible interpreter by $2.50 per hour. So, for every hour that is worked with Auslan Services, $2.50 per hour will be added to the hourly salary.

Auslan Services are the only employer who pay a specific subsidy of this kind to interpreters who are actively enrolled in this course or who have graduated from this course.
